Welcome to Family HomeStead!
Since 1978, Family HomeStead has been the only Metro Denver
agency that has provided both emergency and transitional housing
in individual housing units, as well as supportive case management,
exclusively to homeless families with children.
Guided by our core values:
homeless families with children do not belong in shelters
housing and social services are equally important to homeless families
the most important determinant of a family's success is what they bring to their situation
we focus on assisting families to achieve realistic outcomes, not on social or individual transformation
active participation by clients is necessary and required
Family HomeStead:
houses clients in individual apartments, preserving the
integrity of family life
develops individual case plans with each family to support
them in their journey towards a sustainable lifestyle
works actively with each parent to secure permanent housing,
develop and maintain income, and increase their effectiveness as heads of household
directs over 85% of its expenditures to program services
