In 2008, Family HomeStead served 883 individuals and 250 families. We provided 26,228 days of family housing at a cost per day — including housing, social services and administration — not greater than the fair market rent established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Fifty-six percent of client families are single-parent, female-headed households. Eighty-one percent are racial and ethnic minorities. Sixty-four percent of our clients are dependent children; 24 percent of the people we serve are age five and under.

Family HomeStead is a Denver Enterprise Zone (DEZ) agency. Cash gifts of $250 or more are eligible for a 25% State of Colorado income tax credit. Gifts of stock are eligible for a 12.5% tax credit.
