The Bucket Brigade luncheon, held every June, is hosted by HomeSteaders and collects cleaning supplies for new clients entering our Emergency Housing Program. Guests are acquainted with our work and are invited to become involved.
Other activities include "house parties" which occur throughout the year. Hosted by HomeSteaders and other friends of Family HomeStead, these parties provide additional opportunities for information and involvement. One summer party garnered a staircase full of school supplies for our Adopt-a-Family for Back-to-School project.
The HomeSteaders Membership Event highlights the fall and enlists guests to join the HomeSteaders in their work on our behalf. The 2007 event was an elegant Garden Party, held at the home of Kevin and Mary McNicholas.
